ContentExpress applied formatting not showing up in posts  Bottom

  • Hi everyone,

Searched as best I could but came up empty.

Using Icey-V with some minor customizations. Site is coming along. Also are using ContentExpress. Problem is none of the formatting we're doing in CE is showing when the content is shown on the site. I think the theme is overriding the formats applied by CE. Is that correct? If so, can I edit the theme CSS, and if so, how?

    Thanks, kj
  • Ermmm... Take a peek at "Administration | Settings" and see if you have enabled the HTML tags (probably with arguments) that you are trying to use in formatting content on each page... That may or may not be what is getting in your way.
  • Many were NOT enabled. I enabled them without arguments. No change. Thanks for the reply though. Anything else I can check? -kj-
  • You need to enable them with arguments. Only Allowed doesn't help.

Try it and you should be fine.

  • Thanks but it didn't work. I have chosen allow with attributes and I'm not seeing any difference. In the CD preview window, everyhting looks as it should. When the page is rendered in PN, only colors come through - no font sizes or faces. Wish I knew what I was doing wrong... :/

I have the theme.php file (icey-v) here, trying to figure out what part of the PHP is affecting these posts...
  • I had certain problems with CE before too. And I found out that CE express followed my stylesheet.

What you could try is: adjust the font size in your Stylesheet. Let's say you set it bigger. But that means, that now you have to formate your text by everything you wright smaller.

I liked content Express a lot, but I went they over to use the module HTML pages. This is a very simple module, where you can past any HTML in it and it will show it.

You could write your things on Dreamweaver or Frontpage and only paste the the HTML in to the textarea.

And the best, it displays all fontsizes and faces you put in your HTML
  • Thanks, I've got it working, I think ... just need to isolate the code to control the menus and I'll be set!
