...and one last thing...
When you set up your short urls via AutoTheme, what did you put into the box... phtml or .phtml? If you included the "dot" it will not work.

hmmm... This is a different, but related question/observation. I would have thought that by now someone would have come up with a .htaccess file that would service both AutoThemes *and* Xanthia themes for shorturls on the same server...
Seems as though we are backed up to the wall to use either Autothemes *or* XTE themes if we want to take advantage of shorturls.. Are the participants of this thread (or anybody else) aware of any work being done in that area?
(BTW - I bought the extended license for Shaun's excellent product before there was a 1.7 version and still love it - have been finally playing with the Xanthia stuff recently and getting a kick out of that as well - both have advantages I would like to exploit and make available to users on the same site - but I *LOVE* using shorturls too!)... -

I'm unhappy to report that AutoTheme slayed me this time. ...guess there's a first time for everything. Even with full site-admin, FTP access and a couple of hours of trying everything from the ground up, I could not get Bill's short URLs to work.
Sorry Bill...I hope Shawn at Spidean can figure it out for you...
Good luck! -

I had this problem ones because of a server. Checking with my Host, he told me that this were a issue because ofQuote
php_flag session.use_trans_sid off
I only forgot the code to what I had to change it. My other problem was, that there was a .htaccess file from the Host in my root. And this file disturbed the short urls htaccess.
The endresult was, that every time I activated the short urls, my whole page was gone. I always had to adjust the autotheme.cfg to get back in.
So it might be a server issue. -

Sorry, It can't be the server, as mentioned it worked before with PN 726. How would it be to deactivate the Xanthia short urls or even Xanthia?
Another chance at I mentioned before, is that there is a second .htaccess file in the root. So you might have to go to your control panel & filemanager and delete there all .htaccess files and upload and rename one again.

Theres no second htaccess file in the root. It works with the xanthia htaccess file and xanthia deactivated except when you call a module like such modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index you get a Module not available message. -

How are there two .htaccess files? Linux may be case sensitive, but two identical files can't be in the same folder at the same time.

I found the answer to my problem here http://spidean.mcken…read-tid-3398.phtml The reason the xanthia htaccess file worked for some of the modules was that it didnt have
php_flag session.use_trans_sid off
in it. When commented out in the AutoTheme htaccess file short urls worked. Still dont know why it worked with 7.26 and not 7.50 on the same server. -

It sounds like maybe Xanthia shorturls are enabled in the admin and that is rewriting them before AutoTheme? Maybe?
