I have read through the manual and several posts here and am still at a loss when it comes to what I am trying to do.

Say you have a company that manufatures gadgets. They make gadgets for two other companies, let's call them A and B. This company wants to make a support page using PostNuke but the problem is they have some support pages specific to A, some specific to B, and some support pages that both companies should have access to.

I am guessing the first step would be to create a group A and a group B. I understand how to set the permissions at that point to restrict one groups access to a module. For example I could say only group A will see News. What I don't understand is how to restrict at the content level.

I want to be able to submit a piece of news that only company A sees, another piece of news that only company B sees, and a piece of news that both see.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

That's where topics and/or categories come in to play. You restrict based on the category/topic.
