PN 0.760 and pnModAPILoad()  Bottom

  • Thanks to Mark's urging (see previous thread) I have finally moved off my lazy butt and have completely re-written the Netquery module to conform to the most recent Postnuke API standards as exemplified in the PN 0.760-RC2 release. Well, almost completely.

    I am trying to keep it backward compatible as much as possible and I have one small concern about the PN 0.760 change to autoloading ModAPIs. Just leaving the existing pnModAPILoad() calls in place for use by PN 0.750 does not appear to cause any problem with 0.760, but having been caught by my old header/footer includes, I'd like to be sure.

    Can someone please confirm or otherwise.

    Regards, Richard
  • You'll be fine leaving it in there. If the module API is already loaded, then pnModAPILoad() will just return true and your function will continue as expected.

  • Great! That saves a lot of bother. Thanks, Ed.

    For anyone who may be curious about the changes, I expect to upload Netquery v2.35 to the NOC dev site later today.
  • Richard,

    Looking forward to having a play with the new release.

  • No new functionality with this update, Mark. All the changes are "under the surface". Hopefully it's now ready for PN 0.760 final.

    Many thanks for all your work and your help.
