I am aware that PN v8 members list will be customisable to what level we will have to wait and see.

The main issue I have and many also is that the search by URL is pretty useless feature. I would have thought age or even location could be more helpful as community site CMS.

If there are hacks available on the members_list file that can display different table data or the options to have more control what is displayed would be more helpful. FEBSusers is ok an maybe I could modify this further.

There could be more little features added

(1) Search by any of the user info fields and result controls
(2) Latest registered members
(3) Those online
(4) Total numbers of users
(5) Other mini stats - members registered by date
(6) members who are active posters
(7) members option to be ex-directory of the member list
(8 ) Members List only available to registered members
(9) picture thumbnail upload instead of advart
(10) 100% Composition control so that you only need to add code reference markers where you wish the data to be placed.

As with all of the modules they need to be more customisable .


I'm interested to establish how far can we go with hacking a module to make it more in line with what we need. Is the only option to start from scratch.

Any tips would be helpful.
