Hi, I need some modification of the module zMP3ree.
Here is what i need:
• I need bands pages to be accessed by different users. I need this because I have different users on my band website, belonging to the same band. Also the number of mp3 must be unlimited and there must be an user with moderator rights, which must be able to review the modification and the new mp3 uploaded.
• I need a simple forum to be accessible only by the band member.
• I also need a little plugin showing the bands where you belong, to be shown on the user page. (there is already a profile plus plugin, but I dont have profile plus so I am not able to use it)
I know is not an easy job, but I can only be able to give a 100 dollars.
Anyone interested can contact me at postmaster@bunkerdesign.com.
Other feature may be needed and other money to gain in the future. Thanks a lot! -

Hi:
It is being more and more difficult to get someone with the knowledge and habilities to do custom modules. I even consider that PostNuke was affected when the Xaraya group splited and after that the MD-Pro group too.
I stick to PostNuke because I like it a lot. But definitely, there seems to be LESS developers (third party including) doing or available to do new or update old modules in comparison to the .714 - .72 era. The challenge is among US the users, we have to develop the skills to do the modules we need.

There are 3rd Party Developers, but alot of the ones that have the skill to do custom jobs are too tied up in their projects, of course maybe if some of those popular free projects lagged on development because the developer had to follow the money, those free projects would get some financial donations. I've had several requests for changes to pnGroups and pnFirstVisit, but no one willing to compensate me for the time, so it sits in the queue until I have time. -

So what? Are you interested? I am willing to compensate, even if I understand that probably for what I ask, I am offering very little... but at the moment, that's what I can offer.. Let me know! -

This proves my point, there is a very **limited** source of skilled PostNuke Developers. Period. I have posted some project s here and even at Rent-A-Project and have receive very little reponse. This happens even with simple projects.
Dunno, but IMO there are less developers available for custom modules. It is not a matter of just $$, I have some relative simple projects and it is been difficult to identified capable and available developers.

Another thing to consider is that PostNuke is currently in a transitional phase. New releases are coming fast and furious on the way to .8 and those of us who develop 3rd party modules are busy getting our feet wet with the new API.
On the bright side, many of the improvements to the core are making it easier for people to code their own modules. If you really want something done, you always have the option of digging in and doing it yourself. There are all kinds of people here who, while they may not have the time to take on a large project for $50 or $100, are more than happy to answer specific questions you may run into while learning to write your own modules.

I don't think it's a matter of finding good developers, but finding good developers with free time to do projects like this. Myself, I constantly have plans for new stuff, but I lack the time to do them. Always a client asking for something new and that keeps a dev busy, believe me. -

I'd love to have the time to take your money. :)
As it is, you could be offering $1000.00 for your project and I couldn't take it because I'm too busy with work projects.
Of course get the value high enough and there are probably any number of us that would start calling in sick. :) But it would need to be significantly higher than anything I have ever seen posted here in the forums. -

..so maybe not necessarily a shortage of devs, but a surplus of work.. and with that surplus comes the luxury of hand-picking higher paying jobs... hmmmm. ;)
