xMenu anyone???  Bottom

  • Got 7.5 and AT .8. D/L xMenu and placed it under includes. Making new block was next but no option under core/xmenu as it's not there. Old xstories is b but not xmenu. BTW, can't get their pdf manual to display either.

Anyone know how-to and where style goes [in my theme/style right now]??? Also, have already a nice CSS depended menu which I like to run through xmenu. Would be cool. Thanks..
  • It works fine on both a 750 and a test 760 site for me. As to where your styles go, in yoru style sheet.

  • Am happy it works for you. :) I don't even see it anywhere. First installed under modules.. was there and fine. No block core. So upped files directly under includes. No directory.. just dropped xmenu.php into bloks etc. but that didn't generate the core/xmenu thingy for block. Oh, and yes style is in my theme.

So, what did I do do wrong???? Thanks..
  • xmenu.php is located in my /includes/blocks folder and it shows up in my blocks list. Try re-uploading it, maybe it's messed up.

  • Nope.. no go. Upped it again.. went to blocks. Still no option for xmenu. :( This should be simple considering it's a lousy upload and not brain surgery. I have no idea why this one does not show? Only idea I have is that perhaps whatever prevents topics from disappearing when default gets re-installed that it prevents anything else from being seen.

No clue how to troubleshoot that. Problem started with upgrade to 7.5. So far most things are ok.. BUT maybe that is also why 2-col. lay-out for news didn't work either???

Q: is.. what or where is the culprit that prevents changes, updates or installs from being added/shown?
  • Ok.. re-installed under modules and finally found it. Not sure if that was the fix or not as I was doing some other stuff too. Anyway, works great.. BUT where do I put the .css or do I call it? It's in my theme right now but not being seen.

Also, anyone got the .css table version?? :)
  • The CSS goes in the Style sheet for your theme. It works exactly as advertised because it's what is being used at http://www.saltcreekpd.com

  • Ahh.. ok.. just paste it in then. Thought it needed to be declared/incl. in header or somewhere.

You got any CSS that use tables layout?? Have one but that is regular links and not no idea how to with dynamic one in PN. Thanks..
