Getting error installing RSSDisplay  Bottom

  • I am getting the following error after initializing the rssdisplay and clicking on the ' RSS Display Module (User Page)' as well as the main menu link from homepage.

    Error!
The Magpie backend didn't like that feed! It said:

MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://www.lakelandsexchange.com/backend.php. (HTTP Response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK )

I have had no other problems with 3rd party modules nor with the test page or the demo_rssdisplay page with this module.

Running apache 2.0.39, PHP and mysql locally. New to RSS module and have only installed postnuke and the rssdisplay module. I have no idea where to look other than here, which I have already done to no avail.

    Thank you in advance,

    John

I support the RSSdisplay, RSSfeed and statistics modules (as well as other stuff) primarily thru email. You can reach me any time at crsATmtradDOTcom. I used to be cutting edge by preferring email. Now it seems like I'm old school. :)

Looks like you have an interesting problem. This seems to be the week for them... Well, your server is responding with a status code of "200", which I think is a little unusual. In looking at the Apache doc, 200 says successful but little more.

I assume that you are running your own server. How much did you change your Apache conf file? (If you'd rather email me the answer, that might be safer.)

Let me know that and in the mean-time, let me look at this some more. (In addition to that other gzip problem I'm still looking at. :( )
  • FYI there's no content in that RSS feed, click the link you provided.
    try this http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rss.xml
I know that yahoo one works. I wonder if it's that simple
