I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post. I've been playing around with the concept of using a CMS but what I would like to do is create an on-line website directory of soccer clubs in my state as a free service to those looking for new soccer clubs to play for and a free service for soccer clubs in my state who would like to list on my site for free. Ideally clubs can enter their information in a form and the software does the rest and enters it in to the website automatically or automatically after I have approved the listing. Does PostNuke have a directory feature/module in it? Or does anyone know of any open source directory software that might be available that would suit my purpose? It would have to be based on Linux though as I can’t afford to host on Windows servers. Thanks in advance. All help appreciated.
Kind Regards
Rob

You'd be better off with a links manager. Check my site for a third-party example that has full admin features, link back checking and verification functions.

Just as an aside, I tried 6 different links scripts before I found this one. The others either didn't work or sucked. This particular one is easy to install, setup and administer. Its great. -

If all you want to provide is a directory of clubs, then don't use PostNuke, it's over powered for your needs. If you want to add other features, maybe a "cool tools" downloads, a Forum, ect then PostNuke may be the way to go. phpMyDirectory I've heard good things about.
