I need a free chat module for my PN .750 so I tried installing SPChat. After lots of experimenting, I've almost gotten it to work. Almost. I can get to the chat window and get signed in OK, but after I post a message, instead of showing the text entry field again, it displays my PN user page. So I can only type one line! Has anyone encountered this before?
I've heard good things about 123FlashChat, but I discovered it requires Telnet access, which my host does not provide. I'm still a PN/PHP newbie so if you know of any other modules that will do the job that are as idiot-proof as most other PN modules, I'd be greatful to hear about any alternatives in case I can't get the problem solved.
My host *does* provide a standalone chat room, but it isn't integrated into PN.

I used SPChat before and except some minor bugs i didint have problems with it. Maybe u should try to new version of it. Check this article

I am running version 8.2.9, which is the one mentioned in the article, on a fresh install of PN .750. It's the first thing I installed. I should've mentioned that, sorry. -

and it's integrated with my PN (0.750) site/user database. So far my users really like it !
I don't have a public link to show it, unfortunately.
Can't beat the price - $5 - best bang for the buck you can get anywhere ! -

You need FTP access - yes - to be able to upload the FlashChat files to your server and configure it from there just like you needed to install PN. -
