Anyone know how I can change the name of the link to a module in the main Administration Menu? I would just like to rename some of them. Make it easier to understand to my staff. I would also love to add a link to a module that wouldnt usually show as it is usually a public module, but im restricting it to just admins. Any help would be appreciated. -

pretty sure you'd have to change the name of the module.. which isn't nearly as easy as it sounds ;)

thats not it, think about User administration. Thats not even a module. I cant even find it listed in the NS-User language files. Also some have admin, so dont. Something in the module must create this link. I could care less what the actual underlineing code is, i just want to change the viewable link.

I cant wait till everything is templated, including the admin areas. That way it will be so much easier to restrict and change the appearence of things. -

User Admin is a different bird.. check the NS-Admin mod for defines for that.. i'm not home, so I can't look .. but I'm betting on the rest of the names being pulled from the nuke_modules table..

The module aliases feature seems to be working quite nicely. I've upgraded my site to .760rc1 on friday and have setup a few aliases (pnForum->Forum, advanced_polls -> Polls). The only thing you have to make sure of is that you don't have any clashes between modules (i.e. a module alias the same as an existing module). In my case i've had to remove core polls module since I wanted to use that name as an alias for the advanced polls module.
The other additional use for this feature is for non english sites. These sites can use a localised name for any feature as the module alias.

LOL, i figured out how to add one easily at east, all you have to do is have a file in the module directory named admin.php. The unfortunate problem is that the default link that is created is called main.php, but that wouldnt be to hard to get around.
