Greetings Everyone and Happy New Year!
I was wondering if anyone out there in PN land is interested in a golf handicap system module for PostNuke. I started work on the new module this past week, which is my first attempt at coding a PN module from scratch.
I used the documentation available on pnDOCS and the template module that comes standard with PostNuke to help get me started on the right track. Thank you PN for I would be really lost without these resources! ;)
What I have so far is available for download from PluginSoft.com's File Server, look under the Software/PostNuke/3rdParty/Modules folder. Currently, pnGolf is not much more than the template module, and not really worth downloading, but it does initialize, activate, deactivate, and remove itself from PN without any problems.
Big deal right! :)
The only thing of interest in pnGolf, at this point, is the OpenOffice.org sxw document I created which provides some ideas on what I hope to accomplish with this new module. The sxw document has an Entity Relationship (ER) diagram and the logical database design, as well as some ideas on what functions I think are needed for this new module.
The pnGolf module will be released under the GNU GPL when it is finished. If you are a module developer and have an interest in helping me with the development of pnGolf send me an email at sales[AT]PluginSoft[DOT]com.
