    going to
    http://www.mysite.net/modules/Members_List/
    i get
"You can't access this file directly..."

hahaha right.. we're getting off the task here, BUT to explain a little.. it was just to show you what a direct access error would look like. a 404 is "file not found" .. which again, brings me to the question.. do you or do you not have an index.php file in the flashchat directory?
  • yes
    i changed the index_postnuke.php to index.php
  • and what are the permissions on the flashchat folder and the index.php file itself? ..it's not readable.. do you have a server log you can view?
  • yeah, however not at work. damn restrictions at my work.

I set the permissions that the intergration said to do.

How could I go to the admin panal through the admin panal?
  • ..the problem there is the same.. the permissions are "wacked" .. the files aren't readable by the webserver.. so it makes it very much like they don't exist.. postnuke for some reason will still initialize and activate modules that are not readable.. if you go to Admin->Modules->List and find flashchat in the list and it has no module description just the directory name, that means that the Version.php (or pnversion.php) file cannot be read.. and likely none of the other files in that directory either.
  • when I initialized the flashchat it had everything listed even the description.
  • is "flashchat" the name of the directory? the exact name/case-sensitive? .. I get 404's trying to access the version file too..
  • oooh! hahah.. i get a 505 here: modules/FlashChat/ ..but there's still no index.php file in there.. :( pnversion is there: modules/FlashChat/pnversion.php ..shows blank.. like it should..

    ahhhh.. and look here: modules/FlashChat/index_default.php
  • so my default should be my index.html?

what happend to the postnukemod one?
  • and even: modules/FlashChat/index_phpnuke.php

    but no index_postnuke.php or index.php
  • no HTML .. index.php..

i don't think there's an index.html in there either, but if there is then it's blank. it's just meant to keep people from what I'm doing right now.. hahahha
  • shame on you hacking my page :P

    oo well lol.
so what do I need to do? copy over the index.php?
  • so how did I initilize it and get everything else working?
  • haha yeah.. i guess you'll have to wait to get home and copy the one from the flashchat distribution..since it seems to be missing.. if you follow that link i posted earlier, you could just copy what I posted there and name it index.php.. works better than what's provided.. it's sloppy, but it's okay :)

try and have a good night.. :) ..I'm outta here hahaha! I'll check back though.. later!
  • I will use your code.
