Greetings!
I'm in the process of adding the "Quran" module to PN726, following the instructions below. Items #1 and #2 pose no problem, nor will (once I manage to get so far) item #4, but when I get to #3 I'm totally lost. Sure, I know how to open phpMyAdmin, but then it's all Sanskrit to me. "Upload those files into my database"? I'd love to, but don't have the faintest idea how. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks in advance!
Jaap Verduijn.
1) Copy the "Quran" folder from "html/modules" folder, then paste it inside the PostNuke "modules" folder.
2) Open the SQL folder. You will see two folders, namely "Quran_arabic" and "Quran_english".
Quran_arabic folder contains Arabic Ayats (Verses) and Quran_english Folder contains English Verses. Each folder has the following SQL files.
1-1000.sql (This file will create table and insert verses from 1 to 1000).
1001-2000.sql (This file will insert verses from 1001-2000).
2001-3000.sql (This file will insert verses from 2001-3000).
3001-4000.sql (This file will insert verses from 3001-4000).
4001-5000.sql (This file will insert verses from 4001-5000).
5001-6000.sql (This file will insert verses from 5001-6000).
6001-6236.sql (This file will insert verses from 6001-6236).
3) Use your phpMyAdmin to upload those files into your database, starting from 1-1000.sql. You might need to wait to insert all these records. So when you do this, please wait till your computer responses. But don't wait like 15 minutes :)..
4) Once you finish inserting all the SQL files, go to the PostNuke administration menu and activate the Quran module.

Hey, wow, something I can answer!
Your host has to have the tool phpMyAdmin, but I think all of them do. Ask them how to access phpMyAdmin for your site.
It's not really hard to use phpMyAdmin, but you can check the documentation at their site here: http://www.phpmyadmin.net/
And there's a tutorial I found very helpful here: http://www.devshed.c…-phpMyAdmin-Part-1/
Let me know when you get it set up. I hadn't realized there was such a module. I had the honor of hearing Queen Noor speak this last summer on the similarities and commonalities between Christianity and Islam and I'd be interested in reading the Quran. -

Greetings!
I fear my problem is much more basic (sad grin)! Like I wrote in my initial message: "Sure, I know how to open phpMyAdmin, but then it's all Sanskrit to me". Indeed I can also open the database in question, but there is no link or field or whatever there that says "upload" or something like that.
Queen Noor, eh? You dwell in elevated circles, mate! As for the Quran module: I don't remember where I got it, but I found it some months ago through diligent Googling. I hope you will eventually manage to set it up, because I really can't. I'm not extraordinarily stupid (only moderately so - grin!), but I have a quite picturesque array of neurological mal- and disfunctionalities, combined with a healthy dose of autism. No, I don't potter about like Rain Man, but like most of "us" I take every word literally, and when a "readme" says: "Use your phpMyAdmin to upload those files into your database" I go happily look inside phpMyAdmin for the link, field or option to "Upload". If that's not there, in my odd mind there simply is no connection anymore (nor can it ever be effectively made) between the concrete instruction on the one hand, and the abstract physical lack or "non-existence" of a follow-up in phpMyAdmin. But hey! I'll stop boring the heck out of you and leave the rest for my neurologist (wide and wicked grin)!
I simply can't do it, and that has to be lived with. Oh, well, no big deal. I did manage to install quite a lot of modules, and the occasional failure every now and then is good for ones character!
Be well!

Well now, I sorted it out by trial and error. It's quite amazing that none of the superbrains here could simply tell me: in the database click "SQL", then "browse", then "open", then "go".
For the bloke who's interested in the Quran module in question, go have a look at http://www.unitedchaplains.net (it's in the left navigation column).
Be well!
