I reasonable download and install the weather module. When I initialized and activate the module, it's fine, and then I go to block, New Block, Weather and here is the error come up.
Bad arguments for API function-5. So what does this mean??? Thanks

Well in fact the number 5 is just an internal error code so that I know what is wrong. For instance here I can say "Please read the included docs, you need to activate at least one country pack (Administration-> weather ->Install city package), choose a default city a temp unit and wind speed unit (Administration->weather->Change default local weather). Don't forget to click on the "Save Changes" button because if you miss that no default city is defined (frequent mistake :D) But I really sugest that you read the beautiful docs I made just for you, my dear weather module user :D

Just a chance to thank you for this incredibly wonderful module, and the very very throrough documentation accompanying it -- some of the best documentation I've run across. -

Wondering if you could help me with this.
I am running Postnuke .7.5
The module seems to install just fine. Initialized it, activated it..
It shows up in my Admin page but when I click on it, it just shows me a Blank Page. Any ideas?
Thanks -

It appears that I was using an older version 1.3.0 and that was the issue. As soon as I upgraded to 1.3.3 it started to work fine.
I do have one usage question however if you do not mind. I am doing this for a Family Website and one of the things I would like to do is have a "Weather Menu". Under this Weather Menu will be the main cities that family members live in. A user on the site would be able to pick the specific city and see that weather info.
Right now I see the ability to set a default city, but I do not see the ability to just pick different cities without changing the default.
Any ideas on how I can do this?
I suppose I could write a PHP script to change the info in the database upon selection for the default city but that is a messy way to do it
Thanks -

I don't know if it will help you but each user of your website can choose it's prefered city in the "My account" page and if you use the weather block on your website and left empty the City code field at block creation, each user will see the forecast for it's preferred city.
Of course you may have specific needs not covered by this scheme, for instance you can use a module like Joerg Napp's Start module and setup a page with 4, 6 or 8 weather blocks showing the weather forecast for 4, 6 or 8 (fixed) cities (of course with caching enabled not to fetch weather.com 4, 6 or 8 times at each page display !!)
If you have other ideas, we can discuss possible extensions to the weather module.
