Paid PostNuke jobs up for grabs...  Top

Goto page: 1 - 2 [+1]

  • Who's the savviest PostNuke mod developer? Please don't vote for yourself! (If you're that savvy, others will have noticed.) ;)

For some odd reason, I've gotten several requests last week and (another today) for custom PN code. These haven't been requests asking for free work...these people are willing to pay for services rendered. Unfortunately, although I have a couple of projects that I will finish, I've decided to discontinue further writing for PostNuke, so I've been turning them away empty-handed.

The reason I ask the question about who's savviest is because I'd prefer to direct paying PN jobs to someone who can fulfill their needs instead of merely turning them away. I'm not asking for a "finders fee" or anything in return. I simply want to be able to recommend the best progger(s) for the task.

    So...who's the shiznit?

  • Assuming there's real money there (ie: professional rates, not the typical $10-$50 offers) Thomas Smiatek of pnAddressBook fame is quite good ... I know he's quite busy so I don't know if he has time, but he's competent ...

    Greetings

  • Since I'm not taking the jobs myself, I don't ask about rates, but I know what you mean.

I appreciate your thoughts and time.

  • Well, of all the modules I've used and seeked help on, there are two coders that instantly pop into my mind as pnDeities. One is Nate (of PayPalCart fame) and Chestnut (of AdvProfile/UserHack/etc. fame). It's not for me to say if they are willing to take on such projects, but they are obviously very capable! :D

  • Direct them to pnPro's profiles. The job posting part of the site isn't quite ready yet, but they can get to the devs that have registered their profiles.
  • I'd say Halbrook and Mark West are the most known commodities in my postnuke world. I don't know what they charge, but you don't have to worry about trusting them.

  • LOL -- I just realized I typed "seeked" instead of "sought". Must be nap time.

  • I charge based on the project. I do have a base rate, but It's rarely disclosed. I give breaks on GPL projects for instance.
  • I would be interested in paying for work,

Some of the work are full blown custom modules and others are add a feature here and there. Are there a large pool of Nuke developers that would be willing to work for pay?

I ask because i have found a hard time finding affordable ones that are good.

As a small business I can't afford a lot , most US coders won't code what I need for what I can afford,
    Affordable payment.
    Modules $100-$300
    Changes$10-$100

So I have looked to www.rentacoder.com or www.getafreelancer.com
