Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to the postnuke world and have a very limited amount of knowledge regarding how everything works.
To get right to the point, i am stuck without a way to list a database for companies I am an affiliate for.
Heres what i am looking for:
I need a way to have a user type in a keyword (ex. shoes) then All the shoes would be pulled up from my products list and they could scroll down and select the item they are searching for. Then the item can be clicked on and it opens the companies order page site in a quarter panel window overtop of my site.
I would also like to be able to have the search be more exact ( ex. pink kenneth cole shoes) and have the database bring up ONLY the pink shoes made by kenneth cole.
So far i have spent a great deal of time searching through various modules and have asked different people I know how to do this, and nobody has an explanation. I do not know programming and only need this as a function ...this is from my understanding NOT a shopping cart and i do not need to "check anyone out" because the purchase is not made on the site, I just need them to be redirected via the link provided.
Any thoughts? I am desprate at this point and will try anything. Please feel free to email me.
Thanks for listening,
Nate

For a database module, there's Chuck Steel's module at www.chucksteel.com but it sounds like you might be looking to produce a catalogue. I'd probably go with oscommerce for that. It is not a module but it has far more features than any module.
