Timesheet and bug tracker module?  Bottom

  • I am installing postnuke for an company intranet and I will integrate a timesheet system and a bug tracker in it. Does anyone know existing module to do that?

    Raph
  • Unfortunately I can't think of a module for timesheet or bug tracker, however they are both things i'm looking for myself so please tell us if you find anything.

    cheers

  • Ditto me: I'm looking at phprojekt, but I'd like a PN solution.
  • There is a pnProjekt mod now available.
  • Although I'm still waiting to find a timesheet/timetracking module, I did find a relatively nice bug tracking module for PostNuke.

I stumbled into DQ_helpdesk (by DimensionQuest) but didn't get it from the core site. I installed something around v3.x (not bad, but not detailed), and then found a newer version of the module that was far superior.

The module is definitely designed as a tech helpdesk module for 1st level call support, but I've been usinging (unaltered) for software development defect tracking for a virtual team development project... and so far, so good.

If anyone has found a good PN time tracking module, please share. The commercial online alternatives are either deplorable or far too expensive for what they do.

If anyone knows of any development teams working on a timetracking module, please let me know. I would like to get involved in any way that helps bring something to the community.
  • First off, I must say that I really like the avatar CozMan has. That put a big smile on my face mid morning today when I saw it :D

The DQHelpDesk is a great module, I use it on my site and really like the work the author has done with it. I've been experimenting with it from a very early release and the author makes good progress on the module with each release.

I did a search on noc.postnuke.com, the development site for PostNuke, and found this link for a bug tracking module. However, there doesn't appear to be any activity on this particular module, but you might still want to check it out. I know all too well how things go when starting to develop something and how easy it is to get off track for a bit.

The PHProjekt system is very good for project management. I am just really getting into it and working with it to help me manage some projects that I have. It isn't a PostNuke module though. There is a PostNuke module called pnPHProjekt that allows the users of your PostNuke site to integrate with the PHProject system, so that might be of help to you.

    Hope that helps.
