pnesp problem  Bottom

  • Hello!

I had installed pnesp months ago and everything went fine!

About a week ago, a user reported that everytime he tried to access a survey he got a Blank Page! Then, I realized that I got the same Blank Page every time I tried to access pnesp from the administration menu!

I have no idea what may be the problem as I did not cahange anything...

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot!

P.S. I set error_reporting(E_ALL) but no error messages appear...
  • I have long ago given up on this module - it is no longer under development or support, and is mucho mucho buggy.
Sad - a good testing/survey module is sorely needed by many. :(
  • I couldn't agree more. It looks like we'll have to use MonkeySurvey. Sigh.
  • I use an inexpensive survey script (SuperSurvey) warpped in NukeWrapper. Doesn't integrate with the PN user database, but can be set to reject duplicate entries from the same IP address. One problem is, the results cannot be viewed in a Mozilla browser - needs IE.

I would LOVE to see someone create a PN module similar to this.

One of these days I gotta sit down & try to write me a module. Likely after all of those other things I'm gonna do one of these days. icon_rolleyes
  • Yeah, I like Monkey Survey a bit better, but the same applies. And it's free for small surveys, and $20 per month for unlimited use.

I've kind of viewed the learning curve for a noob to reach module creation level as rather insurmountable, but some of the conversation over in the General Chat area is getting my interest up.

But it's still getting that round tuit that's the problem.
  • Did you try phpSurveyor? It also allows for some questions to pop up based upon responses to previous questions. You can PostWrap it into PostNuke
  • That's what I like about SurveyMonkey (I switched the names around above); the conditional branching and other pwoerful features available for the $20 per month. If I run a survey, usually a month will suffice (and always two!) and I just haven't found anything else with the power and functionality.
  • I'd be interested in your comparison of this free (phpSurveyor) solution with your paid one

    L
  • Hmmm. Frankly I haven't tried it. But then, you never know what you'll learn until you do try something!
  • Guys, See My post on PNESP PNESP POST

What I plan on doing is once I get a feel for how the community is using it. I plan on paying someone to fix bugs and add enhancements.

Let me know if you guys are interested.
