Has anyone see or heard of a Link Exchange Mod for PostNuke?
I am using the latest version.

I've never actually seen a link exchange module, but I sort of have one in my "Not Quite Ready for Prime Time" pile. Let me know if this sounds like something you'd want. If it is, then I'll bump it up a bit in priority. I've shelved it for the moment because I was just writing it for my own purposes, but if there's some interest, it won't take anything to get it cleaned up and packaged...
This module ties in to the Web_Links module. It checks the referrer on all incoming requests and if the domain of the referrer matches up with something I have in my Web_Links module, it adds an outgoing link to that site (as it's listed in the Web_Links module) into a block in my sidebar. It's basically like those online services that give you the ability to add automatic reciprocal links to your site, but with a twist. Since it matches up referrers against the Web_Links module, it filters out things like search engines and link farms.
Another method that I could implement if you'd like it would be a modified Web_Links module where the approval process is replaced with a function that opens a socket connection to the site and looks for a link back. So, basically, you would tell people to add a link to your site and then add themselves to the Web_Links module. Once they submit, the module would check their site to make sure your link is there. If it is, then the link becomes active.
Both of them are in my "to do some time after Christmas" pile, but if you would like one or the other earlier, I'll be happy to move it up a notch. I have 80% of the functionality for both already written into other modules, so it's just a matter of cut-and-paste.

We can probably do that. I'm setting up my site right now to faciliate some collaboration on a few other projects, so that should make things easier. If you'd like, shoot me an e-mail at ed AT jmfpub DOT com and I'll get you what I have so far.
