Hi All
I've updated the DownloadsPlus module with a new AutoUpload feature and would like to have some beta feedback please.
The feature is designed to load up directory/file structures into DL+ and automate the creation of the categories and file listings in the database.
Obviously any text descriptions etc are only set to the file name to start with, but it saves doing individual file uploads.
Please download from my site DownloadsPlus V1.3.3beta.zip or visit Marble Bay for more information.
Feedback on the beta to the DownloadsPlus forum at Marble Bay please.

Hi All
Anyone who tried to download the beta would have hit a permissions issue and not got the file. This has been fixed now.

I downloaded 1.34 and set it per the readme file so I thought, thats when all hell broke loose. I was having problems so I deactivated it, and it got rid of all my downloads. I deleted all downloads folders in modules and tried to put the original downloads back in but this is not working. How can I at least get my downloads just to work again. I can upload the files but I just want it to work. -

Hi
The core downloads module doesn't have a reinstall routine becuase it is a 'core' module. Start by reinstating downloadsplus. Give me some more details as to your system, and what error messages you were getting.

I put the core downloads folder in back in my modules. Activate and intialize it. Works fine. Then I actually put DP1.31 in, initalize it and when I click on downloads I get the original? Actually I get the old DP1.34 that shows up in my admin after I deleted it previously. -

Hi
I think the important thing to recognise is that DL+ is separate from the core Downloads module and as such both can exist in the same site. However while DL+ will import any existing database records from the core downloads table, if the downloads directory location is not set to be the same for both then DL+ will not be able to find the actual download files.
Please don't use the v1.3.1 any more it is way out of date and had some security issues. The current update is v1.3.5 and is available for download now.
