I'm using postnuke 0.75 with PNphpBB2 and Coppermine with Cas pnCPG2.3.
I'm having this problem (I believed many others do as well) - When a new user registered at Postnuke portal, a userid is straightaway created in the Memberslist regardless of whether the new user login after registration. If the new user do not login immediately after registration, the PNphpBB2 memberslist will not reflect this new user and same goes to the Coppermine gallery. Therefore the forum and the gallery uersid will not match with the Postnuke userid.
For the Postnuke, I'm setting the User Registration Configuration to "Do Not required to verify email address during registration". So for such a setting (since not verification of email address is required) and password is already given by the new user upon registration, is there a mod. to automatically login the new user after he/she has registered?
It will solve lots of problems if such a mod. exits? Then all the userid of the forum and gallery will match and link together.
Thank you.

Well can't speak for the gallery but with PNphpBB2 the userid in the forum will be the same as userid in postnuke no matter when they go to the forum. -

Thanks Sampson, yes just checked it and it tallys. Only thing is that the memberslist is not reflected for users not login and this issue is being discussed for quite some time already.

If you mean in the forum memberlist then no they are not in it until they visit the forum at least once in the 1.2x code line anyway. -

Yes, I understand that and if the userid of the forum will match that of the postnuke regardless when the new user login - that will be fine and great since it doesn't mess up the userid.
But the Coppermine with the pnCPG still will not match that of the postnuke userid and I've tested it again and again, and it shows negative result.
So, is there a mod to allow auto login after registration? Thank you. -

I too am searching for what code in what file needs to be changed to redirect new registrations to a page other than user.php
I figured out login redirects but not reg.
I would also like to redirect on registration errors too. I don't like how users are dumpped into the site with just a confirmation message in the content area and nothing else. Maybe a good idea would be a popup window with the confirmation uppon clicking the reg. submit button and then redirect to index.php or just display the confirmation message above or below the main content of the index.php page.
If this or somthing close has been posted please be a pal and drop the link here. Thanks
~ Craig
