Hi,
some people have reported problems due to the restrictive file permissions in the original 0.98 archive. As such, if you're had permission issues or unexpected initialization failures, give this new release a try.
Please note that there are no (code) changes of any kind other than the file permissions in this package. As such, if v4bJournal v0.98 works for you, there's no real reason to download/install it again.
Happy Blogging

Question: does this latest release support comments? If it does, can you offer a suggestion why I don't see a 'comment' field on the journals? ( http://www.koreclan.com/index.php?module=v4bJournal )
BTW - thanks for the help earlier I made a comment about not being able to install, so thanks! -

Yep, it certainly supports comments. Typicallly comment problems have these 2 causes:
1) You don't have EZComments installed/activated
2) You don't have EZComments activated for the v4bJournal module. In the PN Module admin, generate the module list and then click on 'Edit' for the v4bJournal module. One of the options you should see (assuming you have EZComments installed) should be an option like "Enable EZComments for this module'. Check this option and comments should work.for the module.

Check the pndocs/install.txt file, it contains a section about permissions ... then come back if you have more questions ...

tokeikedai
it's posibble to convert DB my old journal to new one (v4b) ?
If your old journal was a previous version of v4bJournal, the answer is yes. If your old journal however is some other journal package, the answer is no (at least not automatically).

Hi,

You shouldn't need any code modifications for this. It should be enough to grant anonymous users no rights to the v4bJoural module.

Are you asking what the effect of your changes to my coding will be? None, you'll just have to re-apply your changes to every new v4bJournal release. If you think your changes are generally useful, send me the code and I'll see about including it the v4bJournal codebase.

Cool. If you care to, you can send me the langugage files and I'll include them in the next release.

OK, I've looked. I got an access error and was then redireced to user.php. I'm not sure what exactly your question is.
BTW, what journal are you currently using?
