hmm...

v4bJournal installed, no problems! thanks!

Problem: I have ticked on the "activate EZComments for this module" thing in the Admin>Modules screen, and have permissions set so guests can comment (using ezforumcomments) but no comment area shows up in the journal area.

Anything I'm forgetting? :?

Hmm, if EZComments is otherwise working for you, then you should I don't see any obvious reason why it shouldn't be working for you.

Are you seeing the "Place Comment" link (and a comment count) next to the jounral title when in detailed view (ie: reading full journal entries)? If not, that means that either v4bJournal is not detecting your EZComment setup or (it thinks) you don't have comment permissions.

BTW, in v4bJournal (admin) config, do you have the 'granular permissions' button checked or not?

Actually, prompted by your post I took a look at the code and discovered a bug in the permission check code ... nothing major though but it will be fixed in the next release ...
