weather module acting up again  Bottom

  • I've got a nice weather module 1.26 but it pulls the data from msnbc and now it's not getting anything. Does anyone know, did msnbc change stuff again or is it temporary?

I noticed this in the top left corner, "Bad arguments for API function"

    Thanks.

I have noticed that mine is not updating any information from MSNBC either. I am not getting any errors, there is just no data there.

  • I too am having the same difficulty with the weather module - also the issue of Bad API argument - I actually cannot even get it installed in order to try it out - had lots of trouble with it on another server and site with it only pulling certain cities consistently - then I tried to add it to a different server and site and now I can't even get it to install.

What is the issue with the Bad API argument? :?:
  • I am not sure what verison I am using but on my live test site it displays no data in the block.
  • I'm not exactly sure which version of the module i'm using, installed 2-3 months ago, and pulling data from msnbc and its working. I'm using Canadian cities by the way. Occasionally it will show wrong data or that -18 default setting but the images are always there and it usually works correctly at least 95% of the time for most cities. Some cities (not many) never work. I have not updates since installing.
  • where do I get a working weather module/block?
  • i forget where i got the weather center, you can find a link somewhere in here by doing a search through the forums. but i do know that i posted the links to some updated data files that contain the new codes msnbc uses

  • I have seen talk about 1.27 or 28 but on the weather center site there is only 1.26. Does anyone know the problem and have a fix.
  • the new data files will fix it, see above
  • the weather1.28 use 9 characters for accid to meet the new msnbc datas.but 1,26 not.
