I have utilized a graphical theme that does not require a traditional User menu but I miss having the feature that tells you that you have a new private message (PM).

Does anyone know if there is a code snippet (a PHP include possibly plus a function) that I could add to my theme.php that would allow me to simply display the text "You have 0 new messages" or "You have 1 new message"?

i think there should be a plugin either in xanthia dir or pnRender dir. just take a look
