Has anyone developed or hacked a way to have the v4bJournal recently updated journals block display a short blurb (or the title) of an entry instead of simply the author's name with a time & date stamp?

OK, I've added some overlib popup effects to the blocks. That should take care of your request. There should be a new beta version containing this and many other fixes quite soon.
