Hi, I have a question regarding PN performances and server requirements: at present I am running a 7.2 version on a dedicated server (not so powerful, but still a dedicated server with 1GB Ram and 2GHZ processor!). I have disabled most modules and the 80% of traffic is pointed to the forum (a PNphpBB like this one), inh these conditions the server is slowed to death when about 40-50 users are logged, but the same happens when we reach 24-25 users in the forum.
As I see that this site/forum has many more contemporary users I was guessing if the configuration of my server is not nuke-friendly.
Has somebody any suggestion, or should I consider my portal completely "normal"?

The only small improvement I got was when I set the keep-alive connections to apache and mysql very short (10 seconds).

An additional question: I do not use xantia themes, but AutoTheme that works perfectly and with a very low impact on the server... should I equally switch to the 750 PN version? Thanks

You should certainly upgrade - there are performance increases in .750. Other than that, try searching on these forums for optimizing advice, there are a few useful links.
