Ok I am using a theme called realm. (see www.wetbetty.net)
I would like to change the color from mostly purple to a dark or royal blue.
How does one make this kind of change?

The first place to look is in the style sheets. If the color isn't set in the style sheet then you should look in the leftblock.html, right block.html etc to see if there is an image or if the color is set there. However, those are just guesses since I have never seen/used that theme.

lol.. well he is now using BlueMetal, and realm was one of mine as well. :)
But it is mostly images though so CSS won't make a difference.

So you've got the answer from the master himself :) So you'll have to change the images.....

Going well, getting a bit swamped with custom requests though :)
Actually looking for another designer or two possibly, kind of hard to find people willing to do 2 or 3 free ones for every custom though...
And I have actually started to learn flash as well and incorporate that into themes as well, little bit of a learning curve but I am getting it pretty well now.
