Sorry, but i not have notice or any deletion, if people post in civic way we not delete post and because you know can you tell me where you see post deleted ?
Actually it my post with the user account I currently use at the mdpro site that was deleted and it was very civil and did not attack anyone or anything. It just presented another view on things. I posted it and it returned me to the post so no forum bug or anything but a few hours later it was gone. Anyway I didn't save locally what I posted there so I not try and reconstruct it but I will say this, that thread really lowered my opinion of mdpro. -

Oh .... and what let you think our pnHTML is the same of your pnHTML ?
And ok .... pnHTML is deprecated for you, but in the same way renamed Encompass or Xanthia/Encompass/Nomoreblock/Visual block/Control block or XTE or like you want to call it, is deprecated for us
Do you remember ?

TiMax,
I think you would agree that the old Encompass is not like the current Xanthia. Also when I started working on Xanthia I had the blessing of the original developers, just wanted the name changed to something other that Encompass, the typo you listed above was corrected the minute Greg and I found out about it as is noted in the link you posted too.
I have added a lot of things to Xanthia before it was adopted by the current PostNuke development team, and it is still being modified, by myself, mark and others.
Anyways thanks for bringing that somewhat embarassing moment back to our attention.

Thanks TiMax,
Yes both projects in my opinion are targeted towards different groups with both wanting to be the best for everyone :).
I know that is how I feel, I want PostNuke to be the best for all

The PostNuke project/team has never and will never attack or disparage another project or team. There is plenty of room in this world for great projects and I believe I can speak for the team to say we wish everyone else the best.
As a community we created a code of conduct we enforce on the site so everyone can participate in a welcoming/helpful environment. When someone continuously breaks the code then further steps are taken to address the issue. However, bannings are the last resort and are done with a heavy heart, no one likes to take these drastic measures but on rare occassions it is un-avoidable.
With respect to this thread, as a team our time is better spent focusing on our goals, i.e., improving PostNuke, writing docs, looking at usability, and having fun. :) And I can speak for myself, over the past few months it has started getting fun again.
My suggestion with respect to the topic is to leave well enough alone. These types of posts are meant to get a reaction, to raise an issue we left behind several months ago. Also the responses, threats, and personal attacks reminds us of why the banning was initiated in the first place.

It's a bit sad to see that such an article was written without Mark, Vanessa or any of the other PN team having any input towards the article. Just hope they manage to counter some of 'Dusters' posts. If one is to critique a product or service it needs to be in a professional manner and not perhaps getting into a mud fight.
It's OK Hanif. Do you ever remember what you mother told you as a young child? Stick and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you. :) If all their doing is calling me names well I'm good......my worth is not defined or determined by someone's elses opinions.
With respect to the mud-slinging, the PN project stands on its own merits. If people find other tools fit their needs then they should use it. For example, Mambo is a great tool, I considered in several years ago before choosing PN. More recently I've downloaded it and considered using it for a project. But in the end it wouldn't meet all the project's needs so in the end we used PN.
However, the best thing about Open Source is no one has to "re-invent" the wheel. So you'll see lots of projects borrowing or improving their project by using other project's code.

Is it really??? Where have you been??? Maybe hard to see without Mark's input, but who are the others that you speak of? :)
BTW... Nice to see Vanessa here. [joke] Maybe we need some more controversy to keep her involved. [/joke] ;)
I haven't been involved in this discussion and don't intend to be (except for my comments above which maybe will be deleted), but I just wanted to make sure that I let everyone know that I for one am not a PN flamer and don't know of many if any in MaxDev that are.
TiMax came here to try and smooth the waters the best he could. But from my personal dealings with many for whom English is not their first language, I can tell you that once you know their manner, their purpose is much clearer. But until then, as they try and state their feelings in a factual way in a language that is not their own, some may see the statements as not "tactful", even somewhat harsh. In TiMax's previous posts, I can tell you that nothing is farther from the truth. Please read it with a mind to this, as both projects are multi-language and cater to many countries and many languages.
As for the dictator of the CMS with no following, ha! No comment. I just love to see your comical posts on real forums. :)
Thanks!

Not directed at you, but in general, some will be damned regardless of what they do!
Thanks!

Shawn, I don't think I've ever told you but wanted to make sure to take the time and let you know publically you're contribution of AT to PostNuke is much appreciated and valuable. And as a designer AT has made my life easier :)....thanks again for supporting PN users in the forums and by providing a free version of AT.

Just for the record, I did post to this thread because it was controversial!
But really, we all know Duster was trying to get a rise out of everyone. Why should any sane person pretend otherwise. If someone want's to compare MDPRO and PostNuke I am sure Duster's post will be a big help! LOL!

P.S. I think if we could all sit down in a room somewhere we would have a bit more consideration of each other on all fronts. I'm thinking of a conference next year in Colorado, a PN skiing get together.....anyone interested?
