I have following questions about PN default theme:

    1. what is the meaning of zchannel? when will we use that?

    2. When will we use the centre block template?

3.When I set the column index to 2, but it still shows one column in the content.

4.when I use the PN.75 RC4, banner module can't work, click its link in admin panel, came out only Blank Page, no matter what I use the theme, the problem always there.

thank you very much to have a look.

Another question, in the master.htm, top of pages, there are four links such as postnuke.com etc, in the code, say in the mod.postnuke.com, it is "mods.postnuke.com -
", I just don't know what is the meaning of id="modes.postnuke.com"? Any ideas?

I suppose I can only ask questions with no answers, so I got another question to ask:

In pnDefault theme, why the admin's message always sticks with the page, no matter what module I load it on, how can I get rid of it?

I figure it out that the admin's message is in the tag, so where to assign this tag to other content instead of admin's message?

    1. It is probably a block zone, for placement of blocks.
    2. Whenever you use a centre block...
    3. Not sure I understand...
    4. Try an upgrade to latest .750 first.
    5. The id is a stylesheet id
    6. This is because centre blocks are enabled on all pages. You should upgrade to latest .750 and then deactivate any blocks you dont want in the block control section of administration > Xanthia
    7. Centre blocks displays all centre blocks, it is just that your only centre block at the moment is the admin messages block.

And in the future, please one question/issue per topic, it's easier for people who are trying to help and for people searching for help in the future.

HammerHead, I have checked out that in block control of pnDefault theme, Admin message is not setup to any moduel but it is still displayed in every page, that is odd, how could they do that?

The other thing, how could I change the content of centre block to other content other than Admin message ? I can't find its setup in the Xianthian. How should I change that?

Im not entirely sure how Xanthia now works, having not used it for a while so hopefully someone else can answer your first question.

As for the second, look in administration > blocks.

I am still trying to figure this question out. I am currently working on a site for someone and can not find any way to have banners unless using older non-XTE themes

Banner module problems are solved, which are caused by the PN itself.
I use MyIE2 browser to debug PN modules, and the settings in the MyIE2 browser filtered any banner, ads.
So try different brower to debug your PN.

Opera (primary browser) and Mozilla both show the same. I am a SuSE Linux user and not a windows (holding back) user.

I know a thing or two about the themes, just not used to XTE since I left supporting PN and PN-Themes before it was XTE finalized as a theme engine. I used to take care of the xpZone themes.

I don't think it has something to do with XTE theme, since when I ran into such a problem, even extra lite theme had the same problem.

I used to use Opera, but it's not stable, I switch to the IE.
    My suggestion:

Why don't you skip all the ads, banner filter settings in all the browers you are using to see if it is the problem of browser or the PN itself?

If you know anything about linux - there is not IE for linux. Plus I wouldn't use such a "holed filled" browser if my life depended on it. Mozilla/Firebird and Opera are what I will continue to use.

It is PN itself, I tried another theme and the banners worked, though made the theme layout go nuts. I will just use my non-XTE themes until I get a good theme and layout made to run with XTE.

I have the same problem of the Admin messages (and last posts) always there, whatever I choose it will appear below this block, admin menu, forum, anything!!

Any Idea on how to correct that?

It's because admin message are centre block, which are show in default, if you don't configure them in the block control of XTE settings.
