ew Filemanager - upload CHMOD problem  Bottom

  • When uploading a graphic file using ewFilemanager, the file ends up in the destination folder CHMOD'd to 600 - and so is not viewable unless I go into the site via FTP to change the CMOD to 644.

I found a suggested fix on the ewFilemanager site, with changes in 2 lines of code suggested for the pnadmin.php file, but this made no difference.

Have any of you found a fix for this?

    thanks,
    Will
  • slipped a few pages w/o a response, so am refreshing this question ... obviously others have encountered this problem, is there a fix?
  • I haven't encountered such a problem. :) latest version of file manager seems to have fix to it

PS : I have just started using Easyweb file manager.

Only thing i had to do was to chmod the upload directory to 777
  • how did u get the ew filemanager in the 1st place ? the link on their website isnt working and it seems they have stopped supporting the module , anyone know why ?
  • I got it working only 1-2 weeks back..

Yes, I too saw that they have stopped module support .. Don't know why .. cry

Anyway, for you to get it working , try chmod 777 to your upload directory .. It should work .. The script should have write access to the directory ..

It is an excellent module .. to manage the file downloads .. I customised it a bit and found it cool :)
