I'm looking for a chat program for my PostNuke site. Most of my visitors are on Macs and spchat does not work with Safari. Has anybody been able to modify spchat to get it to work with Safari?

..in my experience: all java chats are "iffy" with any mac browser.. I've encountered too many problems to list in the past, but have found a lot of satisfaction in Flash chats and/or PHP chats..

..I know Chestnut (dev.pnconcept.com) is working on a nice simple flash chat solution.. demo might still be online there.. I've got one I paid $5 for and it's packed with features.. search the forums for "Flash chat" ..that should turn up some decent results.. if interested.

    good luck!

Thanks for the response. Which one did you pay $5 for?

I use FlashChat on my site. It's a nice chat program, and it only costs $5.

    ..hey GlueBeard ;)
..one of the best things about it is the database integration.. that is if I had to pick a best thing..

I've done 2 blocks for this mod (they're nearly the same).. they show the rooms available and who is in them (won't show private rooms).. one of them is a java tree type block.. but I felt people might not click on the arrow to open the tree to reveal the chatters...

..anyway.. I got 'em.. if anyone wants 'em..let me know and I'll make them available asap.

..it is, by far, the best $5 I've ever spent.. I don't use it that much, but you get a lot of "bang" for your buck.

I must have tried a dozen chat programs, and this one, by far and away, dwarfed the others that I tried. Plus, at just $5, it is a tremendous value.

As far as the blocks that you have done for it, I would very much be interested in getting a copy of them, if that is possible. El mucho appreciated.
