statisics mod reporting for .726 Phoenix? Yes and no...  Bottom

  • Hey CRS, hope you find this!

The Statistics mod seemed just what I needed, so I joined up and DL'd it... The install went good (thanks for the in-depth docs!) ...but... it's not reporting correctly...

Most of the numbers look ok (eg, page views) but when building a report in detail view, it says that all OS's are "Other"...when most are actually Windows. In archive view and summary view, it shows no OS's at all... This isn't just for OS's...this is across the board.

I checked for a support forum on http://www.mtrad.com but didn't find one. I followed the install word for word (read everything including the credits..) My site start date (in PN-Settings) was 01.2004, and I changed it (post-statistics-install). I'm running PN .726 - Phoenix...is there an issue with Phoenix or am I really as dumb as I seem? icon_redface

    Thanks,

    John
  • John,

Not sure what the problem may be. Assuming that you've made the change required to pnAPI.php to call the collection code and enabled collection in the admin panel then there shouldn't be a problem - the fact that you have some results suggests this is the case.

  • Thanks Mark,

...yes, I made the the change to the pnAPI.php...and am "collecting"...

    I'll contact him direct.

    Thanks,

    John
  • I believe we resolved this. And I appreciate that John reported a couple of bugs that I have to look into. (A doc bug and another one that I inherited from the old Stats module.)
  • Yes, it's resolved. Thanks for your professionalism.
  • I am having the same results - so what was the fix?
  • Bumping this up as I still have not figured out why I am getting the same mixed results. I followed the install to the letter.

My email address is crs AT mtrad DOT com.

I try to always respond within 24 hours and usually respond in less than 8 business hours.

I prefer email for support so that I can organize and track issues internally. It's also easier for me to get and send email.
