Ive been using a theme called Icey-V I like it alot but I decided That I would like to change a few things on it. I dont know anything about all of this coding but I do know enough that if I changed the wrong thing my site dies :)

At the top there a search box as well as a topics drop down window. I would like to do away with that and be able to put our banner all the way accross. I also would like to change the logo.gif to a flash banner. What all do I need to change for that to happen. Would all of that be just in the main theme PHP file? thnxs for your help

I don't know this theme, but yes, it's most likely in the theme.php. The things you have described are probably in the themeheader() function.
If you have probs or would rather do it with an HTML editor, try AutoTheme.

Man Im scared of anything new. I had to have postnuke installed for me. I wouldnt evan know were to begin with that program -

O.K., then hack the PHP in theme.php. There are some tips and stuff in the forums here.
