Using Pagesetter and inspiration from myspace I was able to set up something similar to MySpace for my user members, it has a link to their personal photo album and I wrote a small script to show random image from their album as well, with CSS support they can make their pages look as unique as they want!

Sure thing http://dfwundergroun…stuff/UserPages.zip
I'm using photopost though for the images, this way my members can have a personal photo album created when they register to the site. From there it's just a matter of setting the link to their userID using Smarty in the template and also using Pagesetter you can make a plugin and write code to read the gallery database and retrieve the recent pictures right now I just have it doing random pictures though, I'm new to scripting kinda :) -

Hehe I added some background music to my page *cheese* and you can embed video as well. Pagesetter is great ;)
One problem I'm having is with the CSS in the editor, when you preview your page and you have CSS in it none of the changes show up. And also when you go to edit your page and you hit the [visual to HTML] button in the editor it deletes any CSS you had put in -

Using Smarty like this
Unfortunately at the moment you can only link one publication type like that (the one set for the homepage use in Pagesetter) -

Also have a couple of my member's already with submitted pages, they havent pimped their pages out yet so you can see the difference between a CSS page and one without

I realize this thread is over a year old but I'm wondering if any more updates to this myspace-like profiles templates have been made to the dfwunderground website... If so, I'm sure lots of folks would appreciate it if such templates were shared. Maybe submit it to http://www.pagesetter.org?

I would really love to but the thing is what makes it interesting is that the picture script uses Photopost $120 a year... Gallery 2 came out and I'm looking into it, it just might work just as good or better nothing beats opensource and if I think it works better than photopost after I look into it a bit more I'm making the switch and get to you guys it would be nice to have some support on this! -
