Looks like an issue with the AutoTheme tags in your chosen theme. Under the ExtraLite theme all looks ok.
At a guess, since I don't use AutoTheme, your using an theme intended for an older AutoTheme version (.6 perhaps) with a newer AutoTheme release. Try asking the question on the AutoTheme forums (spidean.mckenzies.net) or contact the theme author. i'll also move this to the third party themes forum since this is where it belings.
Also it's worth actually trying a few things to attempt to diagnose your problem before posting. Your initial post is extremely vague; lacking any information about versions of software in use, any attempted resolutions and the results of these. Many forum regulars skip threads where the poster hasn't really attempted to help themselves first nor followed the posting guidelines of the forum. Please bear in mind that open source software is created and supported by volunteers in their free time so there is any onus on you help us help you.

Instead of: {HTML:title}
The tags are this: {news:html:title}

I have a similar problem with the 'Realm' theme I'm using with AT-Lite .8
I set the homepage to point at the news module, but only certain news items are displayed when the "home" link is used. All of the articles appear as they should when I select the 'news' link however.
Where would I change the tags you mentioned Shawn? I've read the AT-Lite documentation and spent a good hour searching but can't find the answer.. :( -

By only some, would it maybe be "every other one"? Or do you mean only the most recent 5 or 10?
The reason I ask is:
1. if alternating summaries is on, but you have only 1 template set, then you only see "every other story".
2. you can set the number of stories to display on the homepage and you will only see that many. But you see all on the News page.

Thanks for the reply Shawn. It isn't the alternate ones unfortunately - I've tried setting alternating summaries on and off without any noticeable effect. I haven't been able to figure out exactly which items show and which ones don't; for example I just posted a new test item and although that one didn't appear on the homepage an earlier one suddenly did! :shock:
The URL is http://mmorpg.org.uk
Any other ideas I can try? I really like the look of the theme, but if I can't figure out the problem I'll have to modify another (working) one. -

Dunno... It's normally not a theme issue. When you submit a news you can set whetehr to display it on the homepage or not.

I set all of the news items to display on the homepage (and set up a new category aside from 'Articles' so they should display) but something is definitely amiss. All the other themes I've tested work fine in this respect except for the one I actually planned to use.

Realm has Alternating summaries turned on for the homepage by default.
Are you sure your theme.cfg is writable by the server?

Copy theme.cfg from a working theme to the realm folder.
Or just dbl check the theme.cfg manually in the realm folder and see if alt summaries are on for *HomePage

Result!
I had tried copying a theme.cfg from a working theme previously with a less than successful outcome. I tried again several times and received equally strange results until I copied the one from AT-XP. Seems like it's working perfectly now *touch wood*. Many thanks indeed for all the help you guys supplied. Much appreciated. :D -
