Hello :)
I just installed PostNuke last night for a new site I am creating and so far it's been awesome. It's much easier and much more organized than the last PHP content management set I used (for a different site).
Now I just have a question about recommended mods to install.
I am looking for modules for: Forums, Gallery, and Newletters
I have looked thru the modules listed here and the 2 PN mod/theme directories mentioned here. There are some good looking choices there but I would like some personal thoughts on which are the best to use.
I have previous HTML and PHP experience but a couple of my future site admins do not, so I'm trying to keep them in mind when adding new functions to the site. As well as ease of use on the site users end.
Many thanks in advance for any help!
Take care,
pbnj

thanks for the recommendations
now i have installed photoshare and tresmailer and so far so good, ive successfully set up my galleries and tho i didn't send anything with the mailer yet i did configure it for my needs.
my problem now seems to be the forums. i installed pnphpbb2 and the moment i try to access it from teh site i get the error: "Unable to acsess nuke_phpbb_users table, Instalation was either not completed or table is missing." now i did have a problem uploading it. it kept crapping out on me when it came to one gif image. but i pulled it out and uploaded it seperately and it uploaded fine.
any suggestions? i was also wondering if there's a way to intergrate the login of the site to the login of the forum. ive noticed here i have to log into each seperately. -

Well, I'll chime in two two sets of opinions:
phpBB_14 for the forum -- that's a no-brainer. I really like the integration of that module and the way one search function works for everything on the site.
pnTresMailer for the newsletter -- not only is it the only one I'm aware of, but it's very well done.
Two opinions for the picture gallery: photoshare and My_eGallery.
My_eGallery is nice with quite a few bells and whistles, but I think its active development has stopped or slowed radically. Still, I like that mod and it works pretty well.
Photoshare is slick, the only reason I'd caution against it is that it requires pnRender, which is still officially beta I think. Photoshare and Pagesetter make an unbelievable combination, so it's worth going the Photoshare route if you think you'll ever install Pagesetter. -

..so is PostNuke ;) .. not sure if you were aware or not, but all of the core modules for PN8 are being written to make use of pnRender..
XTE & pnRender are in RC (5, I believe..) not beta..
I'd go with Photoshare or Bharat's Gallery (sourceforge.net), phpbb_14 for a fast basic forum or PNphpBB2 for a full featured mega-forum.
Best of luck..
