I'm trying to figure this out... I tried searching, but I guess I wasn't being specific because each time I came up with 120+ pages of search results. Is there a module (BlockHome maybe?) that will allow me to create an index page that does NOT contain any news but still contains all of the other blocks I want to display (Admin Messages, center Multiblock, etc.)? I figure that since I have a "News" option in the main menu, I would rather create a seperate "News" page containing my site news and headlines from a news feed and link the "News" menu item to it (instead of having it the way it is now where the "News" page is really the "Home" page as well). Does anyone know of a way to do this? (Changing the module to which the index file points in Administration->Settings isn't what I'm looking for either.) -

..you can choose to not publish news on the mainsite.. it's an option when approving it.. as far as getting blocks on different pages and what-not.. you should have a look into nuclei blocks.. search google.. I can't remember where it's hosted. it will take care of of that.. you'll just have to get a little creative in your theme to display them on a per-module basis. -

Ya, I have enabled the option not to publish news on the main page, however I still have a block that contains a news feed (it's actually a PHP script block since the RSS feed I'm using is version 2.0 and the core RSS block only supports version 0.91)... If I could somehow move this block and the news articles to one page, that would be awesome... I could then have a home page that could be used as a jumping point to all the different areas of my site.
Using that Nuclei blocks thing sounds a bit more work than I'm wanting to put in on this. My other option was to just remove the redundant "News" links from the main menu... which is easy enough.
I'm redesigning my site anyway, so I just was wondering if there was a quick fix available.
Thanks InvalidResponse, for the response at any rate! It's much appreciated. -

BlockHome will do that nicely - you can make HTML blocks, etc... make then *inactive* so they don't appear elsewhere on the site and include them in as many BH pages as you like. Make BH your home page module (in Settings) and it'll point to the default BH page you set up...
As for searching, be sure to match *all* words to filter the results better...
