I'd like to suggest adding configuration variables to limit the length of the subject titles and spoiler text on submitted News stories, perhaps defaulting to zero (meaning no length limit imposed). This seems to be pretty standard fare on commercial CMS products...
No high-traffic news site worth its salt should allow a user to accidentally post a 4000-character-long subject title for a news posting :D
