Missing News article on News.Postnuke.com  Bottom

  • I will ask politely about the reason for the missing article that was posted by Drak on the new.postnuke.com website.

The article was approved and publish in accordence and suggestions of Drak. It was posted within the posting guidelines.

I personally spoke with him about our posting to make sure that it was posted correctly. He made suggestions for changes and I made them as requested and the article was posted.

The posting was about a free tool being offered at our site http://www.postnukearchives.com No registration required on our site. It was in the yet anothr postnuke site category YAPNS.

    WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?

  • Further comments are that I see two other YAPNS articles published on the front page and in the navigator summary for the news section.

I am hoping for a good explination for burying our post and not giving it the same treatment as others in its same category.

We are not even listed in the news section by date of posting. You have to dig to the topic of YAPNS in order to see our article. http://news.postnuke.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=index&catid=&topic=34

I believe we have been treated unfairly in regards to this matter. There have been no comments left on our article to indicate anyone was offended by our article and we have had many people to our site to get this tool we are offering.

I have not violated any posting guidelines and It was already approved by PN management.

I think this is not only a disservice to us but to the community because the members that have yet to see our new toolbar we offer will not get to hear about it because of this.

  • I would assume someone accidentally set it to not show on the index. We're just trying to get a tool to the PN community. Hey, it has links to PN.com and a search feature for pn.com, so it's good for here too! http://news.postnuke…le=article&sid=2605 < -- the article

If there is a reason the article was taken down, please let's talk about it so we can come to an agreement or compromise if there is a problem.

    Thanks!
    Gordon
  • Let's stop beating up on them until someone can respond. It's not like this post is that old yet.

  • I approved the post, and as far as I am concerned the post was relevant and applicable (it has been removed from the front page, but the article still exists).

I did not check whether the tool was commercial, but assumed it was not, and that is the only reason I could see it as a violation of any guidelines on the subject.

As for why the article was subsequently removed, I dont know.

  • Michael I wasn't beating up just explaining all the details of my case. Comparing to others that have their posts on the frontpage and in the same category as our post.

Hammerhead , no it isn't commercial.

Do you know who would make the post no longer show with all the other postngs within the date range it was posted? The article wasn't removed you can only find it if you go to the topic it was submitted under and that is not how other articles have been treated in that topic category.

  • No hurry either...I was mainly worried that someone had an objection, and I know how fast things can blow out of proportion on some subjects. We've already dealt with and fixed our original article on our site for a few people. We don't want any bad blood...especially with pn.com. :)
  • Still no word on who removed the article?
  • Thank you for reposting our article for our announcement of our NEW Postnuke website and our FREE downloadable postnuke webmaster toolbar. (With no registration reguired)
