Authoring a Module - Advice  Bottom

  • I downloaded a module a few weeks ago and am looking to completely re-write it in order to use a database instead of having to edit the code everytime a change is needed.

    I've done some looking, and found PostNuke Module Developers Guide which looks like it will help. However, one part of states...

    Copy over all of the files from the template directory into you newly created module directory. These files set up the basic structure for your module and allow you to get to work creating your module very quickly.


    However, where is this Template Directory? :?: Do I need to download a Developers Kit from somewhere or something? How do I get started with this? :)

    Any guidance in starting this process would be greatly appreciated! icon_smile
  • It should be in your Modules directory, where all the other modules are.

  • Ok, call me an idiot. I looked in that damn directory I can't tell you how many times...And finally went thru and was typing out each folder...I got down to...

    Stats...Submit_News...Tem...Wait a minute, where'd that come from?! :?: So yeah, it's there. Don't I feel like a g00b. LoL
