I am using the stable release (7.26) and really need a petition block to
finish of my site. After searching for a petition module, SimPetition seems to be the only one
around. Tried it with the latest release but it does not work and the link
to the previous version of the module of down. Does anyone know of another
module or have any ideas and solutions concerning success in using sim
petition and the latest stable release of postnuke?

I think the main problem is the conig.php file:Code
// User defined constants -- this is the most obvious stuff webmasters
// might want to customize
define("_SIMPETITION_REMINDER_FROM_EMAIL_ADDRESS","patrick@alliedminds.com");
// define("_SIMPETITION_NETWORK_CLIENT_ID","93");
// define("_SIMPETITION_NETWORK_CLIENT_PASSWORD","stupid");
define("_SIMPETITION_NETWORK_UPLOAD_PETITION_ACCEPT_URL","http://www.simpetition.com/simnet/upload_petition_to_network.php");
define("_SIMPETITION_NETWORK_DOWNLOAD_PETITION_URL","http://www.simpetition.com/simnet/download_petition_from_network.php");
// Set $simpetition_table_prefix
// Example: "nuke_simpetition_"
$simpetition_table_prefix = "nuke_simpetition_";
// URL for loading foreign petitions, eg http://www.simpetition.com/loadpetition.php
define("_SIMPETITION_LOAD_FOREIGN_PETITION_LINK_URL","http://localhost/loadpetition.php");
There is no upload_petition_to_network.php file or download_petition_to_network.php file in the release. Also I do notknow what it means by network id username and password. -

One of the projects I'm working on over at my development site is a petition module for postnuke. I started working on it awhile ago for a clinet who pulled out, but recently started workin on it again.

Great stuff man. Good luck. If I can be of any help then drop me a line, I am adaptable. I am not available to code PHP hardocore but I would be able to help test it, or provide other help such as documentation writing or photoshop related stuff. Although I dont know how to code I know the basics of how the code works, so yea definetly I reckon I could help testing it. My URL is at: http://www.letsmakescotlandgreen.org Been workin on it the last 2 weeks, was previously on PHP-nuke. I am not going to say PHP-nuke is crap but what i will say is I prefer post-nuke and find it to have less bullshit and more balls if you know what I mean. -

I would be very interested in a petition module as well as there are files missing from sim petition. It seems this module was created to interact with http://simpetition.com but that site is down. Please let me know if another one is available.
Thanks,
