This will sound totally newbie but I have seen sites with a scrolling block that has the PNPPHBB2 forum topics scrolling in it on the start page. What Module is this and where can I get it? Also Im not totally knowledged on flash. Are these the animated graphics I see on start pages? -

I believe its a built-in feature of the PNphpBB2 block that comes with the PNphpBB2 install.
As for graphics, you may be seeing some animated gifs, but most folks use Flash now. Flash movies can be produced by Macromedia Flash and some other third party software products. -

Be careful using flash - if you don't think about it properly you can end up with a website that can take a Loooooooong time to load....

Thanks for the advice. My website takes a long time to load now. Is there anyway to speed up the loading process? I ry to put an animated GIF in one of the headers but it isnt animated so hence the flash question. -

Keep an eye on the all the images filesizes, I try not to include any over 10kb - this leaves room to include some big ones in the content, but you want the gui to be streamlined and fast. Get a graphics editor like macromedia fireworks as this has a good image optimisation feature.
