I want to make a postnuke theme for my website www.skinzone.co.uk
but I don't know how or where to start.
could someone point me in the right direction? i.e is there any software i can use to put the theme together?

If you know HTML, then you should download the free AutoThemes module and start modifying the included free themes. Its the easiest way to learn. The link for the module is in my signature line. -

Agreed. I really think the best way to learn is to just start playing with one of the free themes. If you know HTML, then it won't be long before you can make your own from scratch.
