  • I know this is proberly easy but I'm using the Redrum theme and both in the main section of the website and in the forum section (using PNphpBB2), I have an issue with the text in the dropdown menus.

    For example if you go to my website (http://www.wordclan.com) and go to the forums and click on Usergroups so that you can join a group, all the text is white and the back ground is white.

    Now it only this theme on my site that causes this. How would I resolve this issue in this theme?

    I did a search in this forum but I did it using redrum, if there is a post that I missed please point me in the right direction.

    Thanks!
  • Add this to your style.css file in the YOURTHEME/styles directory. Be certain to adjust the HEX color settings appropriately.

    select.pn-normal {
    color: #ffffff;
    background-color: #505C78;
    }

    As for PNphpBB2 - come chck out our new .css generator for PNphpBB2 at http://www.autothemes.com
  • Okay sorry for this next stupid question but, does that have to go in a particluar spot in the file?

    I also noticed that I have a style.css and a styleNN.css file.
  • But it in both files - just pasting to the bottom of each should be fine.
  • Thanks I will give that a try. I just signed up on your site to look for the CSS gen.
  • Excellent. Its beta, but were working hard to make it as easy as possible.

    I'd love to hear what you think of it!
  • You know it was easy to use and I need to trying it again. It did not resolve me issue..LOL .. but I'll try again.

    There seems to be a conflict between the themes CSS file and the forums when I made the changes.
  • Remember that when you save the CSS file that is generated - you need to give it a name that matches your theme name. So if your theme is Purple ... then the CSS must be Purple.css or PNphpBB2 will ignore it.
  • Really. Now the one that is in the folder by default is called 'defaultcss.css'
  • Yup .... confusing as hell, but the .css MUST match the name of your theme or it will default to the theme matching system.
  • Is this going to be a downloadable module, or just a service on your site?

  • Its just a service. It functions as a module, but I doubt I'll even get it cleaned up enough for release as a module.
  • Cool, I would suggest at least donating it to the PNphpBB people, if they're interested, so they can put it on their site. Seems like a good site to have it on-line. :)

  • OKay I must be stupid. I have tried the generator and copy and paste that did not work. I modified the files and named them as you suggested and that did not work.

    I found the two files that are working against eachother but just cannot figure it out, but I did learn that if I change the file name toi what you suggested it breaks. icon_smile

    But I'm sure you got me off on the right start so I will keep playing and I hope to figure it out. I was going to give up and changes themes but the newer ones will not work on the hosting site I have and they don't seem to want to upgrade thier software. icon_smile
  • If your Postnuke theme is named Yellow, then your .css must be named Yellow.css - its that simple.
