OKay I did that I swear!
But here is part of my stupid question then. Here are the current 2 .css files that the site appears to be using.
\themes\redrum\style\ and in there I have the following 'style.css & styleNN.css'
Then I have
\modules\PNphpBB2\templates\PNTheme\style\defaultcss.css
Now which one should I rename to redrum.css? I tried both, one at a time and removed the other CSS file and it ignored it.

Neither.
Cut and paste the generator output into a file file - name its XXXX.css to match the name of your Postnuke theme and put it in the same directory as the default.css file. -

Okay sorry..
I did it and it worked, well let me re phrase that, it did change things..LOL I will not say how but now I know exactly how to do it and now I can play with it until I get it just right.

LOL. I hear you buddy. Lots of options. Try using the Red question mark help buttons - they contain some help when you are trying to figure out what a particular setting does to PNphpBB2.
If I ever get around to it, then I plan to add 5 or 6 preset themes in basic colors. But that is far down on my list.
