Instead of my normal just news as the home page, I was wandering how I can make it so I have a frontpage which consists of a small news headlines block which just shows the headlines of the latest posted news stories on my website, and i want some other blocks of my own which just have an advert in, also i want a block with latest added downloads, and also a block with the latest forum stats, how can I have all this? i've seen it before. Also that brings me on nicely to my next qestion, how do i position blocks side by side in the center block, when i put more than one block in the center they all go on top of each other im not sure ....

You will need to get ahold of the pnHome module and use that in conjunction with a custom theme that makes use of block positioning.
Either read through and follow the Theme tutorial stickied at the top of the Third Party Theme forum written by Nate, or install the Xanthia theme engine, OR use AutoTheme.
