I'm sorry if I am not understanind your question -
Log in as admin
Go to Administration (the Admin oontrol panel)
Scroll down until you see your "Stories" (news items)
Select "edit" on that story
Delete the call for the image "sultanahmet_animation.gif"...
If you are just starting out - its fairly easy to miss that part of the control panel because you have to scroll down to see it.

Now you can look at the site:

there is a pitcure: to remove and it is topic pitcure and it apperas next to the story. and it is located at: images/topics.. i do not want this pitcure to appear next to story..

Killing it in your theme should work if you want to get rid of *all* topic images.
If you ONLY want to remove it for that particular "topic" you can create a 1x1 transparent gif, called blank.gif and specify that as your topic image by re-editing it in "Administration | Topics".

Better yet, get the AutoTheme module and just create a block that doesn't display the topic image. Just look in the summary.html file to delete the image tag. No need to fuss around with .php
