I am planning on building support for Invision Board for the bridge at http://cmsb.dbserve.net

I have incorprated both the above mentioned bridge with PostWrap at my site in the forums http://alpo.org

Bob, the developer of this bridge has really made some major improvements in the last 2 weeks on his brisge and it is much easier to work with. If I get some time I will look at IBF and get the bridge working for it.
    Dear Alpo,

I am very interested in how you integrated both the CMSbridge and PostWrap. Can you give some additional information in how you have done this? I want to make a start on the integration on Invision aswell maybe I can help?

    Thankx

    Alex
  • Implementing the two is actually not that hard. All I did is first setup the Bridge with phpBB and made sure that it was working. Then I setup PostWrap and then setup a linkg for calling the Bridged app through PostWrap.
  • I can't get the CMS Bridge to work. I've set the initialize_bridge.php and put the directory under the postnuke dir. The full path is correct but it says the CMS setup went wrong.

I checked the user.php and header.php and both have the code inserted. But it still says it cannot find 'cmsb section' on either one.

Wich version of Postnuke are u using? I have the latest version (0.7.2.3. and changed both files by hand.

    Here is my config:

    Windows XP
    Apache 1.3.27
    PHP 4.2.1.
    Postnuke 0.7.2.3.
    CMS Bridge 1.7.0.

    Can you help me please,

    Alex
  • Ok,

I did it. It seems that the CMS Bridge version 1.7.0 doesn't work very well yet. At least not for me. I used version 1.6.0 and everything worked fine. I re-installed Postnuke 0.7.2.1. aswell.

    Now it works!!!! :D
  • Glad to see you got it to work. I was not near a PC for the last few days and was not able to reply.

No sweat. It seems that version 0.1.7. is not working on Windows Platforms due to "grep" statements in some of the code.

There are no major improvements in 0.1.7. (that work) anyway.

    This very cool indeed! 8)

nation-x: i couldn't agree more. You just need to compare how many SQL queries are need by phpBB in order to display a page compare to the number of queries invision makes and you'll definitely know the winner icon_lol
